Junkyard Golem

The Golem roams the endless wastes by night. It has been so long, even he no longer remembers his purpose here, or what his creator intended for him. He searches the junkyard for spare parts and treasure, his repairs fighting off the constant decay of time. An unnamed dog is always by his side; his only companion -- and the only witness to what happened that cold night in december...


This was my submission to ConceptArt.org's 'Character of the Week' challenge #191 - Junkyard Golem. I think it started a little bit too much towards 'robot' and wasn't reading enough 'golem', so I added a bit of the arcane blue light around him. I think the dog could use a little work, but overall I think it turned out alright.
